Lady Ravens senior forward Courtney Edmonds receives her certificate from President Stephen D. Minnis and Coach Chad Folsom.
Lady Ravens senior forward Courtney Edmonds (McLouth, Kan.) became the newest member of the BC Women's basketball 1,000 career scoring club.
Edmonds became the second member of the squad to join the club this season, as fellow senior Nicole Fields joined the club during the first semester of the season.
Her moment came with just over 16 minutes left in the second half, when she was able to convert two of Benedictine's 18 second-chance points.
"Coach had been letting use know who was getting close," Edmonds said. "I'm more excited that I've been able to play the last few games at home in front of a packed crowd. Scoring 1,000 points in front of them, just added to the overall experience."
BC could get one more 1,000 point scorer this season as junior forward Abby Winder (Troy, Kan.) closes in on the milestone as well.
