Lamoni, IA-The women's volleyball team hit the ditches of Highway 69 on Sunday afternoon for their annual trash pickup event.

A few years back Head Women's Volleyball Coach Stew McDole and his team adopted the portion of the highway between the sale barn and Interstate 35.  Ever since then during preseason, the team has set aside a couple of hours to pitch in and do their part to give back to the community of Lamoni that gives them so much.

"Highway 69 is the front door of our town and our university," stated Coach McDole. "It is really satisfying for us to help make that entrance attractive. It has been our stewardship for some years now. This time at the suggestion of players we took the additional step of separating out materials we could recycle. It made the whole process even more right," finished McDole.
