Lamoni, IA -The Jacket football team showed their renewed dedication to team unity as they gathered to help beautify Lamoni, Saturday.  In an effort to clean up the Lamoni bike trail, the entire team, coaching staff and support staff did everything from pull weeds to trimming trees on the trail.


"Today while we were working on our community service project.  Our team came together and worked hard together," stated freshman receiver Mike Jenkins. "It was a great way to bond as a team. We learned a lot about each other. It was fun and a great team building exercise," finished Jenkins.

Head football coach Jeff Douglas chimed in about the experience as well, ""7 years ago Coach Welch joined the NAIA Champions of Character and today we continued that work with our community service project of the Lamoni Bike Trail," stated Douglas. "It was a great experience for our kids, they did a great job of working together to really make the trail look nice and helped beautify the community," finished Coach Douglas;

Graceland opens its season September 4th, in Lamoni against William Penn University.
