KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) remains No. 1 in the first regular season edition of the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 poll, the national office announced Tuesday. The unanimous choice as the No. 1 team with 21 first-place votes, the Blue Raiders tallied 591 total points. Through games played on Sept. 5, Lindsey Wilson is off to a 3-0 start and has outscored its opponents 9-0. The Blue Raiders have become familiar with a top 10-ranking as this poll marks their 34th straight amongst the top 10.

Since available records date to the start of the 2000 season, Simon Fraser (B.C.) boasts its' highest ranking at No. 2. The Clan gathered 566 total points and improved one spot from the Preseason Top 25. With a 2-0 record, Simon Fraser has scored 10 goals compared to allowing the opposition only one. Next up for The Clan is Warner Pacific (Ore.) on Wednesday.

Sliding up one spot is No. 3 Rio Grande (Ohio) with 566 total points. The Red Storm have dominated thus far with a 4-0 mark and they have not allowed a goal while scoring 20 markers. Ten players have scored at least one goal led by Richard Isberner, who has four this year. This ranking is the highest since Rio Grande was No. 2 in the 2009 Preseason Top 25. The Falcons have outscored their opponents 16-0 this year, including a 3-0 win over Calumet-St. Joseph (Ind.) on Sept. 5. Notre Dame slides up two spots from the Preseason Top 25 and posted 505 total points this week.

For the first time since Aug. 22, 2000, Auburn Montgomery (Ala.) is not ranked in the Top 25. The Senators, 2-2-1 on the year, was the active leader for consecutive polls with 100 straight before Tuesday. After a No. 17 ranking in the Preseason Top 25 (Aug. 17), AUM falls to the "receiving votes" category with 24.

AUM was one of five schools to fall out of the Top 25: Baker (Kan.) was No. 24, Bethel (Ind.) was No. 18, Ashford (Iowa) was No. 25 and McKendree (Ill.) was No. 21.

The Golden State Athletic Conference has the highest amount of teams in the Top 25 with four. The GSAC boasts No. 7 Azusa Pacific (Calif.), No. 12 Vanguard (Calif.), No. 18 California Baptist and No. 22 The Master's (Calif.). Overall, 15 conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups are represented in the Top 25.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independents and unaffiliated groups. The second regular season Coaches' Top 25 Poll will be announced on Sept. 14.
