Mar. 8, 2008- Lindenwood men’s and women’s track and field teams both had two athletes score at the 2008 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships, including one win a NAIA Individual National Championship.
Lindenwood’s men’s team finished with 14 points and tied for 18th in the team standings. The women collected five points and tied for 31st.
Leading the way was Illiyan Chamov who won the national title in the men’s triple jump. He was tied for first heading into his final jump when he recorded the best mark of the competition of 51-0.25 (15.55m).
Deji Adebayo finished fourth in the men’s long jump (23-4.5) and Marion Kandie was fourth in the women’s 3,000m (10:19.61). Tenignue Coulibaly had the final point with a sixth-place finish in the women’s 400m (1:00.36).
