KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior Yonas Mebrahtu of Graceland was selected for a second-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award on Monday afternoon.
Mebrahtu broke the tape after finishing in 1st place at the Yellowjacket Classic last week. His time of 25:09 over the 8K course allowed him to win by almost a full minute and spark Graceland to the top team finish.
The Graceland runner will represent the HAAC in consideration for the NAIA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award, which will be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon.
