The 2008 Collegiate Basketball Invitational (CBI), an all-star event of out-going men's basketball seniors from the NAIA Division I & II, NCAA Division II & III ranks concluded on Saturday, April 26 with an All-Star game aired live on ESPNU.  Twenty-two NAIA players were involved in the event including MidAmerica Nazarene's Adam Hepker.


Jeff Ferguson of Pikeville (Ky.) College, was named the CBI Most Valuable Player as he averaged an event-record 23.0 points and added 7.7 rebounds in three games. He led the First Merit sponsored-team to the 2008 team title.

The East-West All-Star Game on Saturday was comprised of 20 of the event's top players. NAIA players included in the All-Star game were Ferguson, Wilie Irick of Oklahoma City, Brad Harris of Lee (Tenn.), Jerome Pierce of Notre Dame (Ohio) and Othyus Jeffers of Robert Morris (Ill.). Morris was also honored on the All-CBI team.
