KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Four members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference claimed national rankings when the NAIA Football Coaches' Postseason Poll was released on following the national championship game last weekend.

All four teams that appeared in the preseason rankings back on August 8 were a part of the final tally for the 2011 season, allowing the conference to share the honor for most teams included in the poll with the Mid-States Football Association Midwest Division.

A quarterfinal appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series landed MidAmerica Nazarene in the #6 spot, down two places from the final regular season poll. The Pioneers had their postseason run derailed by eventual national champion Saint Xavier (Ill.), but remained in the national rankings for the 66th-straight poll, the third-longest active streak.

Regular season conference co-champion Missouri Valley also remained in the top 10 as the Vikings finished the season ranked #10. A share of its first conference title since 2006 gave the Vikings the automatic berth into the postseason before finishing the season with a 9-2 overall record.

Benedictine was the last of the three HAAC teams to qualify for the FCS that claimed a postseason ranking at #13. The Ravens climbed two places from the final regular season poll after finishing the campaign with a 9-3 ledger and a return to the postseason for the first time since 2003.

Baker used a four-game winning streak to close the season that included a Senior Day win over Benedictine to finish the season with the 21st spot in the polls. The Wildcats finished the campaign with a 7-3 record after starting the season with the #23 spot in the preseason poll.
