Sloan had a busy day on the track at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Open, claiming a pair of top six finishes. The freshman from Kansas City, Kansas took top honors in the 200 meters with a school-record time of 25.70. She also helped the 4x400 team finish in 6th place as she ran a 60.0 for the anchor leg. She also posted a time of 9.82 in the 60m hurdles after claiming the school record in that event earlier in the season.
Thurbon had a successful day for the Wildcats at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Open, setting both an individual and school best mark in the pole vault. The sophomore from Topeka, Kansas cleared 3.70 meters to put her in a three-way tie for the best mark in the NAIA at this point of the indoor campaign.
Both Wildcats will represent the conference in the running for the weekly NAIA Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, which will be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon.
