Lamoni, IA - Athletic Director Jeff Falkner is pleased to announce Jaymi Crozier as the new head cheer coach and assistant SID at Graceland University.

"We are happy that Jaymi has agreed to be our next Cheer coach and assistant SID," said Falkner about the hiring. "Her previous coaching and recruiting experiences will serve her well as she takes our competitive Cheer program to the next level."   

Jaymi will be replacing former cheer coach, Mari Chandler, who has spent the last ten seasons building the Yellowjacket cheer program.

"I'd like to thank Mari Chandler for guiding the Cheer program since 2002," said Falkner. "Under her tutelage Cheer has grown from a club sport to full Varsity status. This wouldn't have been possible without her."

Jaymi, a 2011 graduate of GU, has experience in both coaching and Sports Information which should make her transition from Graceland admissions to athletics a smooth one.

"It's an exciting new challenge in my life and one that I've looked forward to for some time," said Crozier "Graceland and athletics have both been a part of my life since I was little. It's a natural relationship for me to bring the two together and I couldn't be happier to get started."

Jaymi is set to takeover her new appointment on August 13th.
