Avila University's Athletic Director, Anthony Hall, has announced the hiring of Kylie Williamson to take over the women's softball program. Williamson graduated from UMKC in 2007 with a Bachelors of Liberal Arts degree. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Education, specializing in Sports Psychology, through the University of Kansas.

Williamson's playing experience includes stops at Pratt Community College and The University of Missouri at Kansas City. She served as an assistant coach at UMKC for two seasons and was the head coach of the softball club team at the University of Kansas.

"Kylie brings a unique blend of coaching and playing experience to our softball program," said Hall. "Her enthusiasm and love for the game will allow her to relate very well to our student-athletes."
