Marshall, Mo. (December 1,
2009)-De Smet Jesuit High School
senior, Zach Wiegand and Bishop DuBourg High School senior, Drew Easterley both
signed letters of intent to play volleyball for the Viking men's squad next
season.
Zach is the son of Pam and Rich
Wiegand of St. Louis, Mo. During high school, he has been involved in not only
the varsity volleyball program, but also soccer, Billiards, and
MagisMen.
Drew is the son of Sal and
Carol Easterley of St. Louis, Mo. He has been active in the Bishop Dubourg
varsity volleyball program throughout high school.
Missouri Valley head volleyball
coach, Derick White says, ""Both Zach and
Drew are quality young men who come from very supportive families. Zach has a
passion for the game that, when matched with his skills and technique, will make
him a very explosive player for us. Drew is a very versatile player and we
expect to fully exploit that during his career at Missouri Valley. We are very
happy to have these quality young men as the newest members of our
program."
