Muskogee, OK. - Led by a dominating performance from Nate Adamson Avila University's baseball team won their season opener 5-0 against Graceland University on Saturday February 13th in Muskogee, Oklahoma. 


Nate is a Junior, Criminal Justice major from Panaca, Nevada. Adamson pitched 6 scoreless innings giving up only one hit, two walks and recording a school record 14 strikeouts.

 

"It was a great start for Nate and for our team," commented Head Coach Ryan Howard on the record setting pitching performance. "It set the tone for what we hope to be a championship season."

 

After beating Graceland, Avila defeated Bacone College later that day 4-3. The Eagles are now 2-0 and travel to Fort Hays for 4 games starting Friday, February 19th at 3:00 PM.
